The Art of Napkin Folding

If you have had a wedding planned by our Reflections team you may know that we strongly believe there is a right way and a wrong in the art of napkin folding. It may not seem like a big detail at first but I invite you to take a look at pictures of our weddings and a previous blog written by Jasmine to see the difference it really does make.

Other napkin folds rather than the “fan” or napkin in glass are not difficult to do. It takes the same amount of time and makes a whole lot of difference.

Here is a simple step by step example of one we actually created for a wedding while we were high up in Eagle Eye, Kicking Horse. Not only can you use this for a wedding but any event that you hold.

  1. Lay the napkin flat

    2. Fold two corners together to make a point

    3.  Fold in the point half way in the fold

    4.  Fold one side of napkin just a bit more than half way

    5.  Fold the other side to the edge

    6.  Flip over napkin

    7.  Fold in middle and flip back over

    8.  Add your favor on top

Happy Planning!
