If this is how you are feeling than our Independent Consultant Program might be just right for you.
You will start by working with a Lead Consultant as you gain experience and knowledge at a Jr. Consultant level. This will be the time when you will learn all our policies, procedures, processes and systems. You will meet our clients and our vendors, you will participate in client meetings, design meetings, planning sessions and work along side our Production Supervisors on event days. You will even be earning a percentage of all the events you assist with. This level is really about getting to know what the industry and our company are really all about on a hands on level to help you make the decision if you are made to have a career in the Wedding and Event Planning Industry.
Should you decide that you want to move on in the program and are accepted for a Sr. Consultant position you will really start creating your own business. You will work with our Business Consultant to legally and properly set up own consulting business under the banner of RWD. You will be provided with all the start up necessities such as business cards, phone, email, accounting system, invoicing system, project management system and much more. You will start taking on your own clients and working on your own events, while still having the support and encouragement of the whole RWD team. Many consultants will be happy to stay at this level for a long time event their whole career, but should you wish to grow more, there is one more level.
Our Lead Consultants take on more responsibility within RWD and not just their own company. Of course more responsibility isn't without more benefit. Should you be accepted for a Lead Consultant position you will be responsible for mentoring new Jr. Planners, participating in company projects such as Styled Shoots and Workshops, and will be a part of the Business Development Team which is responsible for growing the company with new and innovative ideas.
